Petros: Condensed Sans-Serif with a Y2K European Techno Edge
Petros is a condensed display typeface crafted for contemporary digital environments. It merges the tall, structured forms reminiscent of techno styles from the late-1990s and early-2000s European rave flyers.
The letterforms in Petros are bold and compact, designed to maintain legibility at both large and small scales. While the typeface subtly nods to German techno aesthetics and Y2K graphic design elements, it is not a revival nor a retro reinterpretation. Instead, it is developed specifically for today’s digital-first workflows where clarity, impact, and consistent adaptability across various platforms are essential.
Petros excels in narrow and vertical layouts, making it suitable for social media graphics, posters, branding applications, user interface headlines, and motion design projects. Its tall and commanding proportions preserve presence even in confined spaces, such as 9×16 reels and mobile-centric designs.
Features:
Two styles: Regular and Slanted, both fully developed.
Over 400 glyphs per style for extensive typographic diversity.
Comprehensive OpenType support including alternates, fractions, ligatures, and stylistic sets.
