UPSTATE — Collegiate Slab, Done Bold
Introducing UPSTATE, a vintage style slab serif font with the timeless elegance and spirited energy of collegiate lettering. Inspired by prestigious ivy league prep schools and classic athletic type, UPSTATE brings tradition and drive to identity work, editorial layouts, and branded graphics. Its robust, angular structure and confident weight read clearly at display sizes, with a familiar varsity tone that feels established rather than nostalgic.
Use UPSTATE for headlines, logos, posters, and apparel where you want strong presence and crisp letterforms. It comes in multiple styles so you can set everything from straightforward wordmarks to dimensional, shadowed compositions. UPSTATE Shadow Fill and UPSTATE Shadow Base are two separate fonts, but together create a single style. In Illustrator, extra custom glyphs are available via Type → Glyphs. In Photoshop, access them through Type → Panels → Glyphs Panel.
UPSTATE comes in three unique styles:
UPSTATE Regular
UPSTATE Shadow Outline
UPSTATE Shadow Base + Fill
